Why we're here
Plenty of drivers pay for the wrong tyres, or drive on unsafe ones without realising — usually because tyre information is confusing or hard to trust. We want to put that right.
TyresHQ gives you clear, honest answers about your tyres: what your car needs and why, what's safe and legal on UK roads, when a tyre needs replacing, and which tyres are genuinely worth your money. All of it explained simply, and all of it checked by people who fit tyres every day.
Tyres run in the family
Daniel Hartley grew up in his father's independent tyre garage — sweeping the workshop floor before he could drive, and reading tyre sidewalls long before he sat his test. Tyres were never abstract to him; they were what kept the family's customers safe on the road.
He kept getting asked the same question by friends and family: “what tyres should I actually buy?” There was never one clear, trustworthy place to point them. So he started TyresHQ, and brought in real fitters, an MOT tester and motoring writers to make sure every answer is one you can rely on.
“I wanted one place I could send anyone for straight answers about their tyres — no jargon, no sales pitch, checked by people who do this for a living.”
The people behind TyresHQ
Real tyre experts, not anonymous writers

Chris Dunne

Laura Bennett
Maps the right tyre sizes, load and speed ratings and manufacturer approvals across thousands of cars, so drivers find the correct fit for their exact vehicle.
Erik Lindqvist
Years in tyre distribution in Scandinavia give Erik real cold-climate experience for our winter and all-season tyre advice.
